The past year not only witnessed her turning a film producer but also saw her going on a ‘global’ tour. Yes, her shooting assignments took her to as many as eight foreign countries last year, making her the only actress to have visited that much number of countries in the year for shooting.

In her Twitter account, she has reportedly tweeted that she was no more a ‘boring single’ fellow and that she had met the ‘true love of her life’, something that she had been yearning to do so the past so many years. Not revealing the identity or the profession of her fiance, Divya says that he is certainly the ‘best thing that has happened to her in recent times’.

“I’m in love and am enjoying this particular phase of my life. I also love to travel a lot,” admits Divya, grand-daughter of Union External Affairs minister S.M. Krishna. Akin to a child left on its own, Divya says that she loves exploring new things and new places and would even go for a global tour very soon.

‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ marks the dance debut of the Sydney-born actress Emma Brown Garrett in the tinsel town. Emma plays Sunny Deol’s Canadian wife in “Yamla Pagla Deewana” which is set to release on Jan 14. It has been a commendable performance from Emma who took her steps right on the difficult bhangra beats matching it with Punjabi boys Sunny, Bobby and their father, Dharmendra, in the peppy title track of the movie. She has also gone for a blonde look from her brunette hairs for the role.

Talking about her experience in Bollywood, Emma says, “This is my first dance sequence and it was a great experience! Bollywood dancing seems very exciting, but I have realized it is very difficult and tough. Hats off to the choreographers and all Indian actresses for pulling off the steps so well and that too with perfectly coordinated expressions. It takes a lot of hard work.

My dance is a mixture of traditional and contemporary. The choreographers had a challenge not just with the song, which is a remix version of an old song, but also my limitations as a dancer. But they have done a wonderful job.”

Emma has already worked in the Bengali film “Shukno Lanka” with Mithun Chakraborty, and after “Yamla Pagla Deewana”, she will be seen as a Russian girl in Rohan Sippy’s “Dum Maro Dum”.

“I am glad that a ‘gori’ coming from abroad has been welcomed with open arms in such a huge industry. I have been lucky to have worked with fantastic actors like Mithunda, Dharmendra sir and Abhishek Bachchan already, and I definitely look forward to more masala films in India,” says the Australian beauty.
